We’ve just rolled out new versions of our popular free tools, [Shape it](https://getsoundly.com/tools/#shapeit) and [Place it](https://getsoundly.com/tools/#placeit), giving sound designers even more precision and performance.

## [Shape it](/tools/#shapeit)
**[Shape it](/tools/#shapeit)** is Soundly’s own EQ, the one we use for everything in-house. It’s an EQ made by sound designers, for sound designers. The latest version includes:

- New gestures for quickly creating shelf filters
- A fix for locked bands reacting to the mouse wheel
- Improved rendering of very narrow peaks
- Stability improvements for macOS Sonoma

## [Place it](/tools/#placeit)
**[Place it](/tools/#placeit)** lets you simulate different speakers and position them in realistic-sounding environments.

This update includes general stability improvements, particularly for DaVinci Resolve.

Both plugins are free and available in AAX, AU, and VST3 formats. [Just download them](/tools/), drop them into your favorite DAW, and go!
