Soundly is built to work where sound professionals work. Our goal is to support every environment they rely on, whether editing, mixing, or designing sound. Today, we're pleased to announce that Sequoia 2026 by Boris FX is now part of that ecosystem through a two-part integration between the brand new Sequoia 2026 and the latest Soundly for Windows.

Sequoia has a long history in professional audio production and is widely used in broadcast, post-production, and mastering. Organizations such as Radio France, ARD, and Sveriges Radio rely on it daily, along with other major broadcasters. Its role in these environments is defined by precision editing, dependable playback, and support for demanding production schedules.

This integration was developed in close collaboration with the engineering team at Boris FX and is released alongside Sequoia 2026. The focus throughout was direct interaction between library and timeline, without additional steps or background processes.

From Soundly, sounds can be sent directly to Sequoia at the playhead position. Handles are supported, and multiple files can be placed on a single track or across multiple tracks based on user preference. These workflows behave the same in Dock mode and Normal mode.

If you work with Soundly docked inside Sequoia, the transfer feels immediate.

Multiple selections can be transferred in one action, with placement controlled from Soundly.

The same options are available when working with Soundly in its standard windowed layout. Sounds are selected, sent, and placed without changing focus.

The integration also works in the opposite direction. When a region is selected in the Sequoia timeline, Soundly can search for similar audio based on that selection. This uses Soundly’s *Find Similar* feature, which analyzes the sonic characteristics of the selected region using machine learning, then returns sounds that has sonically similar content. Results appear directly in Soundly and can be sent back to the session immediately.

Soundly can also be opened directly from Sequoia using File > Open Soundly. Together, these functions reduce switching between tools and support faster decisions during editing.

The integration requires the latest Windows version of Soundly and Sequoia 2026 from Boris FX.

The Soundly and Sequoia integration is available now, and we look forward to seeing how it fits into your day-to-day sessions.

Thanks to Boris FX and the Sequoia team for the close technical collaboration throughout development. We had a blast building this together and hope that comes through in the workflow.
