How do I use the Soundly Pro Tools Extension with the Soundly app?

The extension works inside Pro Tools without the Soundly app running. Open the app for local-library searches, metadata editing, or effects such as Place it and Shape it.

Install the latest versions of the Soundly app and the Soundly Pro Tools Extension before you use these features.

Search in the Soundly App

1. Type your search in the extension’s search box.
2. On macOS, press Option + Return. On Windows, press Alt + Enter.

You can also hold Option on macOS or Alt on Windows and click the search icon.

Open a Sound in the Soundly App

1. Right-click a Soundly Pro file in the extension’s file list.
2. Choose Open in Soundly app.

Open an App Sound in the Extension

1. Right-click a Soundly Pro file in the Soundly app.
2. Choose Share > Copy shareable URL.
3. Paste the link into the extension’s search box.
4. Press Return on macOS or Enter on Windows.

Find Similar and Starred

Use audio from the extension or Pro Tools to find similar sounds in the Soundly app.

You can also save sounds in Starred and access them in both.
