Shape it and Place it are now available on Linux

More people are using Linux for audio and post work, and Linux support for Shape it and Place it has been on our list for a while. Now it’s here!

Both plugins are out of beta and ready to install on Linux. They work in any editing software or DAW that supports the VST3 format.

Shape it and Place it are already widely used on macOS and Windows, with strong reviews from sound designers and editors. Both plugins are completely free.

Shape it for Linux

Shape it is our flagship EQ, built specifically for sound designers and fast, practical workflows.

It gives you 10 parametric bands with full control over frequency, gain, and Q. You can clean up low-end rumble, cut harsh frequencies, or shape the tone with precision. It also includes a large set of presets designed specifically for sound design, along with a mix knob and phase flip.

Place it for Linux

Place it started inside Soundly Voice Designer, where it quickly became one of the most requested tools as a standalone plugin.

It lets you emulate different speakers and place sound in 40 environments using true stereo convolution impulse responses. The result is fast, believable spatial placement without complex routing.
